10/6

Finally!  A little sunshine comes peeking out through all of this.

We met with the oncologist, Dr. P, again today to do more lab work and get the pathology back on the eye they removed and we learned that the cancer was isolated in her eye.  As The Husband puts it, "This is life-changing good news."  While this news doesn't change a lot of what is going to have to happen with Liv, it is still good news and such a relief.

For now.  That sounds terribly pessimistic, but it can't be ignored.

We talked with him for awhile about her labs and what her treatment plan will look like from here on out.  Some of her blood work came back a little iffy and she will be followed closely for that,  she will have her fitting for her prosthetic eye on Nov. 23, she twill have an EUA (exam under anesthesia) every 5-7 weeks for 18 months, then every three months after that, and she will need her Botox surgery done every two to three months indefinitely to keep her breathing okay and off oxygen.  Among other things  Sigh.

So, emotions are still high, still mixed.  But the relief is is winning today.  And it is sweet.
